Initially Cruise Whitsundays vessel Camira required a new dolphin striker and bob stay assembly, to reinforce the bowsprit and forward beam. We worked with Gurit’s engineers on a design that was structurally and aesthetically pleasing to get Camira to its full capacity.
We then determined which components to build in New Zealand versus on site in Queensland, and the logistics behind them. On site we then assessed additional damages to the hulls and quickly liaised with Gurit's engineers to develop a solution. We were able to complete those modifications within the project’s initial timeline and eliminate Camira's sail and passenger restrictions.
